I know how difficult it can be to find a clinical supervisor who gets you- I have been there. If you are someone who wants to learn more about your theory of choice and master your interventions with your clients, then you have come to the right place. 

I am Jeannette Benavides, LMFT #145697 in the State of California.

I have had the privilege of working with clinical supervisors who practice different theoretical approaches. I have great experience with: Emotional Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Structural Family Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. 

I know it can be overwhelming to start with a new supervisor and I am here to support you. Burnout in the mental health field is unlike no other. It is important for me that you feel safe and supported in your supervision. I am here to answer any questions you may have and to encourage you to ask the questions you are not asking. 

I offer group supervision for 100$/session and I offer individual supervision for 150$/ session.

  • Frankly, I only had a couple of supervisors who stood out and truly cared about the profession.

    Having had the experience I had, I knew I always wanted to work with Interns and Associates alike. Of most importance, I am a supervisor who complies with the law and ethics of our profession. I make it a point to review California’s laws and make sure my CEUs are focused on California law, each year.

    I like to work with Interns and Associates alike, because I can give them the help they need. I know it is especially not easy the first half of your 3,000 hours. I still remember my first session with my teen client- I was aghast. This profession is scary, at times, and it is also extremely rewarding.

    In conclusion, as your supervisor, I would hold a safe and caring space for you.

    If you decide to work with me, you will get the benefits of working with someone who is not only savvy with LMFT theories and regulations but also business expertise for when you want to open up your own clinical practice. Whatever you need, supervision-wise, I am here for you.

  • I accept payment for supervision via Zelle. We can discuss other payment options if you do not have Zelle.

  • I am currently working on meeting the requirements to become a Board Certified Supervisor in the State of California. If you would like to join the waitlist, please enter your information below and you will be emailed once I am seeing supervisees.

  • Once I am a California Board Certified Supervisor, supervision sessions will be provided remotely.

  • Self-care, self-care, self-care. Please make sure you are balancing all of your hard-working hours of seeing clients and documentation with a social life. It is important to lean on your friends and family while you finish your 3,000 clinical hours. You can do this.

    When things get tough, remember why you started in the first place- this is what helped me get through the difficult times.
